Cookies Policy
Cookies are very small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit some websites.  While IGGC does not directly insert cookies into your computer, it is possible that some of the functionality that our vendors build into their websites will do so. You can find more information about cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronline choices.eu.

If any of the information we hold on you is inaccurate or incomplete, you may ask us to correct or complete it at any time.

Your Right of Erasure, or to be Forgotten
After the conference, your registration information is automatically archived and is accessible only to authorized International German Genealogy Partnership (IGGP) staffers. To request deletion of your registration record, email IGGP at info@iggpartner.org. You will need to provide sufficient information to identify yourself such as your conference registration number, email address or other contact information.

Security
IGGC does not collect sensitive information like U.S. Social Security numbers or birth dates. For Credit card payments, that information is collected and retained by the 3rd party payment service PayPal, Inc. PayPal does not allow IGGC volunteers to view your complete credit or debit card information. We take precautions to protect your personal information that we do collect (i.e., contact details like address, phone, email). When you submit such information, it is protected both online and offline. Online submissions are encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. When submitting online, you can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar or for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page. While we use encryption to protect personal information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only volunteers who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to all of your personally identifiable information.  The computer servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment by our vendors EasyNetSites, Dropbox and PayPal.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
IGGC may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. This policy is effective from October 1, 2018.
